The Full Moon in Sagittarius is one for whom time is immaterial,

allowing it to transcend

mor(t)ality,

by offering simultaneous perspective of both

hunter,

and hunted.

This Moon is the event horizon of vulnerability.

It is the connected beat of two sovereign hearts,

(though for a duration irrelevant)

allegorically illustrated as the tenets of chess

(consider the incendiary semantics of a challenging endeavor

being labeled a match):

– Seek to understand strategies utilized by the other side

– Always trust instinct

– Successful routes needn’t be linear,

and,

– One must be prepared to find oneself

(occasionally)

Fish Moon / Blood Moon in Libra • ~ • 4 April, 2015

"birthchart" digital collage by OneLittleFishie

Just before dawn this Saturday, 4-4-15,

the April Full Moon (sometimes called the

Fish Moon, signifying the spawning shad of

many varieties) passes into the Earth’s

shadow, becoming the third Blood Moon

of the last twelve months (the most recent

prior Blood Moon fell on October 2014’s

Hunter’s Moon).

This date also marks the beginning of Judaic

Passover, which deals with a plague of death

upon first-born sons; also Easter Vigil of the

Christian tradition – for Lutherans,

representative of Christ’s descent into, and

suffering within, Hell. Both of these religious

connotations are rather dark in nature,

adding depth to the Blood reference of the

eclipse phenomenon.

The totality of this eclipse lasts just a few

minutes, making it the shortest lunar eclipse of

this century. Once that veil brushes past this

Moon’s face, her position within the

constellation of Libra (seeker of eternal

balance) immediately shifts the pendulum

toward a laser focus on anything blocking

forward motion and progress. Expect

to ruminate through a feeling of

suspended animation during the 24 hours

immediately after the eclipse runs its course,

followed by extreme action or surprising insight.

Prepare to feel a surge of creative energy to

slay demons you hadn’t even yet noticed.

Embrace the change. Enjoy the unexpected.

Bask in the renewal; find gratitude that

the Blood was shed for you . . . not by you.

That’s what this season is all about.

new moon supermoon eclipse equinox

the winter fades away on this spring

equinox with a new moon (which is another

supermoon) causing a solar eclipse, visible

in most of Europe and Northern Africa.

its effect will be felt worldwide, however,

for those who choose to experience the energy

of these events as a whole greater than the

sum of its parts.

setting intentions on the new moon is

traditional practice; the solar eclipse

lends the opportunity for a true ‘clean slate’.

Tonight’s full moon is the Crow Moon,

so named in reference to the call of the corvid

heralding the imminence of Spring.

In the sign of Virgo, this Moon brings

an underlying restlessness to this process;

thus, if you find yourself doubting the foundation of

an existing project or relationship in the next

few days, step back from the situation to assess if

the doubt has any basis in reality (likely it won’t).

Once the edginess subsides, embrace the proximity

of renewal in Spring, and offer gratitude for the

beautiful truth of what IS.

parking lot start •••••• mary hannah snider

“What are you doing?”

She sipped her coffee.

“Not even gonna answer?”

“I’m not in the business of stating the obvious this morning. It’s too early.”

“It’s almost one.”

“If the liquor store isn’t open, it’s too early.”

“You’re seriously waiting for the liquor store to open?”

Sip.

“On a Sunday?”

Swallow.

“Did you even go to church?”

“Champagne will be my salvation.”

He grumbled a laugh

“Well, what are you doing here?” Uninterested, but not completely devoid of social graces.

“Getting some beer.”

“You unbelievable ass hole! Judging me for waiting and here you are doing the same thing.”

“I just forgot about the Sunday law, I’m not waiting.”

“So you just drink this early everyday, then? Buying your booze before most people are back from weekday lunch?”

She swooned with the setting of his jaw.

“You could have gone to a gas station. Probably would’ve been easier for you.”Softening her tone; so practiced, so sarcastic, “Don’t be embarrassed, Sweaty, we’re in this together.” She stroked his arm, forefinger trailing the veins hidden by his sweatshirt.

Harry was actually his name, an unwanted family heirloom, but she had long ago decided to prefer “Sweaty.” One squalid description for another, who could refuse?

“Stop that.” He swiped her hand from him, all traces of friendliness swept away with it.

The bells on the door rang behind them as the lock turned, unleashing them from the long-lost-love, talking-is-fine, this-doesn’t-hurt, scenario.

“Please,” she held the door, gesturing inside, “After you. Your beer is getting cold.”
